Theatre volunteers have come up with a list of over 30 minor repairs and refurbishment jobs which must be done before the doors can open to am audience of 800 people.
Friend’s chairman Eve Archer says: “This whole campaign started when I approached David Clayton to replace some windows that had been broken by vandals. But when he saw the theatre for the first time he volunteered to help.

David explains: " My grandmother was a singer here in the theatres heyday and, although I never met her I had seem pictures of this place. When I saw the state of it now I just felt something ought to be done - it's a crying shame that it has been allowed to decay like this."
